FAE Consulting’s support of the FIN Academy
FAE Consulting GmbH has been supporting start-ups and development initiatives financially or with advice since its founding in 2015. The FIN Academy by the Female Investors Network is very special to us because Janet Winkler has been promoting diversity and in particular female leadership and female advancement in all business areas since she started her career.
The FIN Academy
The second edition of the FIN Academy – a 6-week online platform for women who want to become business angels – is currently under way and receives awesome reviews from the participants.
In 6 sessions with lectures and insights from expert investors and complementary information materials and Q&As, future female business angels get an overview of all relevant topics. E.g., what are start-ups, business angels and VCs; personal motivation of the business angel; due diligence and portfolio management; start-up evaluation criteria and deal flow; legal topics (from NDA to VSOP to pooling) and taxes.

Early on, Janet Winkler became aware of the predominance of male colleagues in the financial sector where she has been working for more than 20 years. For somebody who has been curious about everything and everybody, being in such uniform work environment became a challenge and a hindrance to achieve the best.
In order to find new and more efficient ways to work together and optimize the existing processes in the areas she worked in, Janet Winkler has built an extensive network of expert colleagues and friends from different backgrounds. Her curiosity and goal-orientation has led her to become a successful founder and CEO of multiple companies. In her teams, diversity has been always a top priority.
The FIN Academy’s mission #25to25 – striving to increase the number of women in startups to 25% by the year 2025 – resonated from the start with Janet Winkler and the team of FAE Consulting GmbH.
